Applying for Medicaid and Medicare
Many Seniors confuse Medicaid with Medicare. Medicaid is usually provided to individuals who are low-income and fall within income guidelines set by the state they reside in. Medicare is usually given to Seniors 65 and over usually receiving Social Security, regardless of their income, and also to individuals who are considered permanently disabled and who have been receiving Social Security income for 24 months or more. You can apply for Medicaid even if you have Medicare. Medicaid MOSTLY covers every medical cost. People who have Medicaid pay little to nothing for medical services since it is an health insurance subsidized by the state.
